Absolutely Incredible and rare Historical Color Guide: Primitive to Modern Times with Thirty Plates in Color, by Elizabeth Burris-Meyer, dean of The School For Fashion Careers. Published in 1938, it is in overall beautiful vintage condition showing light wear and patina throughout. The Smithsonian website description says - "There is little to be found about Elizabeth Burris-Meyer’s life, but it is safe to assume that she was a proud aesthete. As the “Dean of the School for Fashion Careers,” Burris-Meyer published two books on color. Her Historical Color Guide draws inspiration from various historical works of art, creating color palettes for both artistic and business use. Utilizing a keen understanding of art history, she sought to evoke not just the aesthetics, but the culture of a time period. Paint swatches, hand glued into the book, are given delightfully descriptive names: “mummy” is an Egyptian-inspired olive green, “pouf du vent” is a pale lavender inspired by Madame de Pompadour. Equally charming is Burris-Meyer’s commentary on each of her carefully curated palettes. She provides historical context (Egyptian colors were mineral-based, e.g. blue from cobalt), in addition to her own opinions on each time period (she dismisses the “swooning bombast and homely clutter” of Victorian England)."

Shop policy for lost/ stollen packages and items damaged in transit?
I package all of my orders securely and mark packages fragile, I also provide tracking info and insurance coverage for all of my orders. If your package is lost or stolen, I can file an insurance claim, start a lost package investigation and submit a missing mail search request. If your item arrives damaged, please save all packaging materials and the shipping box, take several photos of the box and packaging from all angles. I will use these photos to file an insurance claim. Once a claim is approved, and money is reimbursed to me, I will immediately refund the cost of the item via your Etsy order. Claim reviews and payment reimbursement can take 5 to 15 business days once all documentation and verification forms are completed (possibly longer in some cases). I do not issue refunds prior to the completion of a claim.

I don't have my own brick & mortar, but I often do pop-ups and sell in person at local markets from time to time. The best way to keep up with where i'll be selling is to follow me on instagram @farewelltrading. Any pop-ups and in-person markets will be announced there.
Very rarely. It depends on the item and is done at my discretion. A non-refundable down payment is required if I do agree to reserve an item.
My general processing time is 1-8 business days. Please refer to estimated shipping and delivery times within each individual listing. Smaller items tend to be processed and shipped out quicker than larger items. I try to ship items out as quickly as possible, please contact me if you need an item by a certain date and I will work with you to get it there. If your order is shipping within the US then you will typically receive your item/s within 3 to 15 business days. International customers will receive their item/s within 7 to 30 business days depending on your location. These times are estimates and can take longer due to weather and events that are out of my control.
No, I do not. The price is already set at my best price. The only time discounts are offered is when I am running an actual sale, then the discount price will be shown within each individual listing. I do not offer additional discounts on sale items.
I'm currently not offering ring re-sizing services. I won't be able to tell you if a ring can be sized or not as i am not a jeweler. Each jeweler's skill level is different, and the sizing capability for a ring will depend on the jeweler doing the re-sizing. The best way to determine if a ring can be sized or not is to show a picture of the ring to the jeweler that you plan to have do the sizing.
I'm currently not offering layaway on any of my items via Etsy. Please contact me through instagram or my website if you would like to set up a layaway plan. Etsy also offers Klarna as a checkout option, which is very similar to layaway.
I absolutely do not accept returns or do order cancellations. Please examine all provided listing photos and read the entire item description and listing details before placing an order. All of my items are vintage or antique, and typically show age/ wear. Any imperfections are always noted and shown within the item descriptions and listings photos. I take the time to write detailed listing descriptions as well as provide the maximum amount of product photos, so please take the time to carefully read and examine them before ordering.
