Antique Hand Painted Silk Church Banner: Portrait, Florals, Gold Fringe

Gorgeously hand painted antique church banner featuring a portrait surrounded by yellow florals on one side, the other side features a cross and reads "Junior Holy Name Society St. Pancras Church Glendale, L.I. This came out of Saint Pancras R.C. Church in Glendale, Queens NY, it's so old it from when Queens was still considered Long Island.... which was the late 1800's. The banner is attached to a wooden dowel and has two eye hooks for hanging. In overall nice antique condition for its age, the silk shows light signs of age, light wear and creasing throughout. The imagery, metallic gold fringe and appliqué borders are in beautiful condition showing normal wear. A one of a kind piece!

Banner measures approx 30 1/8" x 48 1/4"
