Incredibly rare collectible Woodstock edition of The East Village Other newspaper Vol4, No 37. In August 1969, The East Village Other, an underground newspaper published in New York City's Lower East Side, covered the Woodstock Music and Art Fair. The August 13th issue, published two days before the festival, featured a cartoon map of the festival and its surrounding area on the front cover. It is filled with amazing advertisements, personal adds, news, and coverage of Woodstock Music Festival. In overall nice vintage condition showing normal age and wear throughout but no major damage. It contains mature content (mainly the verbiage used in some of the personals adds and advertisements) and is intended for adults only.
The East Village Other was an American underground newspaper in New York City, issued biweekly during the 1960s. It was described by The New York Times as "a New York newspaper so countercultural that it made The Village Voice look like a church circular" EVO was an important publication for the underground comix movement, featuring comic strips by artists including Robert Crumb, Kim Deitch, Trina Robbins, Spain Rodriguez, Gilbert Shelton and Art Spiegelman,
