Incredible set of three rare 1960's- 1970's Era "The Reason Why Books" on Energy, Directions and Angles, and atomic Energy. These were written by Irving Adler and or Irving and Ruth Adler, and feature illustrations by Ellen Viereck. Adler believed that children could understand complex scientific concepts if presented clearly and simply. His "Reason Why" series and other children's books aimed to make these subjects engaging and accessible. The books show normal wear, age and patina throughout, all pages are present, each comes with the original dust jacket. Each features amazing cover graphics and typography, and is filled with tons of information and illustrations on each subject. A very rare find and a great collectible set of first edition books.
